Findings
When first planning this inquiry project, my central purpose was to incorporate activities throughout the school day to create a more regulated classroom environment. I had no idea how students would accept such activities, but knew that even if it didn't help all students, it would help those that needed it. After incorporating the wellness emotion check in, I was surprised to find that students were requesting to complete it more frequently throughout the day. The wellness check-in provided students a space to express how they were feeling in a safe way. As a result, I found that students were able to voice how they were feeling and identify what they needed in that moment.
